What Princess Diana Liked to Eat

As we’re well aware, Queen Elizabeth II follows a strict diet. The Queen has four light meals a day, and often eschews starches. Despite this, the Queen is known for enjoying a piece of chocolate or two, as well as a good drink.
Darren McGrady, a former royal chef who worked for the Queen for 11 years, can testify to this. But McGrady also went on to serve as Diana’s chef until her 1997 death. Yesterday, McGrady reported that Diana favored vegetarian dishes, as well as chicken and fish as opposed to red meat.
However, Diana was far from strict when it came to the diets of her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. She often went against the boys’ nanny’s wishes, letting them eat pizza and other such foods. But when it comes to the royal family, this may very well be exactly what constitutes good parenting. As McGrady says, “the Princess just wanted them to be boys.”
