I was thrilled to be invited to be part of Oprah’s Royal Wedding Party and asked to make a three tier “grooms cake” using the recipe from my book Eating Royally. This is of course the recipe Prince William chose for his grooms cake. My cake had sugar flowers on two tiers, roses for the English rose Catherine, daffodils because the daffodil is the symbol of Wales ( William’s surname, Princess Diana used to call him “Willie Wales”) and English ivy. The top tier I made a completely edible picture frame of the bride and groom. Promise to post pics of it tomorrow.
