With the State Fair of Texas closing it’s doors for another year I wanted to share with you one of the best dishes served at the fair. Forget all of the novelty fried stuff, I am talking real food…recipes submitted to the Creative Arts Competition at the fair… dishes that you can serve with confidence to your family and friends over the holidays.
Anyone that dares to put bacon and pecan pie together deserves a medal and that is just what my friend Natalie Kauder did, not once but twice at this years fair.
